WANYAMA AIKATAA MAN UNITED, AAMUA KUBAKI SCOTLAND
Victor Wanyama has confirmed that he will not be joining Manchester United in the January transfer window, committing himself to Celtic for the time being.
Wanyama has been one of the SPL outfit's stand-out performers this term, scoring the first goal in the club's memorable 2-1 win over Barcelona in November and impressing with a fine all-round display.
Speculation has linked United with the Kenya international for a
number of months now, and the Premier League leaders have reportedly
been scouting the 21-year-old all season.
But despite talk of a late £12 million bid from Sir Alex Ferguson the Hoops man has ruled out a switch, insisting he wants to remain with the Scottish club through their Champions League adventure.
"I can confirm to you that I will be at Celtic," he told the Daily Record. "We are playing well and our Champions League dream is on right now, so I am looking forward to the big game against Juventus."
Past reports had indicated that the player would be open to a transfer to England and, although he reiterated his desire to remain with Celtic for now, Wanyama hinted that his situation may change at the end of the campaign.
"A lot has been said about my intended move but I have not given it much thought and even my manager feels I should play until the end of the season for Celtic," he added.
"Then, from that point, the doors can be open for a move."

signature.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is closing in on a £2m deal for Osasuna
forward Roland Lamah, 25, and hopes to confirm the signing this week.
Norwich City are eyeing a move for Celtic striker Gary Hooper,
24, after boss Chris Hughton admitted that he needs more fire-power.
On-loan Romelu Lukaku's representatives will sit down with Chelsea when
the January transfer window shuts to negotiate the 19-year-old striker
staying another season at West Brom.
Fulham boss Martin Jol is making a £3m move for Belgian teenage defender Bernard Malanda-Adje, 18, from Zulte Waregem.
Arsene Wenger has given his clearest indication yet that forward Theo
Walcott, 23, will be staying after the Arsenal boss said he will not be
offloading any more players until new signings are made.
And Wenger believes midfielder Cesc Fabregas, 25, will one day
return to the Emirates to see out his career with Arsenal. Fabregas
scored in Barcelona's 3-1 win at Malaga on Sunday.
OTHER GOSSIP
Coventry boss Mark Robins, 43, is among the favourites to take
over at Bristol City following Derek McInnes's sacking on Saturday. Sean
O'Driscoll is also in the frame.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the negative atmosphere at the
Emirates is making his players too nervous to perform to the best of
their ability.
Tottenham's manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that his
admiration for the England midfielder Scott Parker extended to trying to
buy him when he was appointed manager of Chelsea in the summer of 2011.

wants to reduce the squad to pay players "with more class".
Former Premier League referee Graham Poll says video technology
needs to be introduced after replays appeared to show that defender

to South America because of personal problems.
Blackburn midfielder Danny Murphy, 35, says he knows little
about his new manager Michael Appleton, 37, and adds: "It's a bit crazy,
it's not ideal to have had five managers at this stage of the season."
AND FINALLY
