Drake may have been at the club where a fight broke out involving
Chris Brown - all over Rihanna, supposedly - but the rapper's rep says
he had nothing do with it.
Chris Brown's camp tells a different story.
His rep said that Chris, girlfriend Karrueche Tran and his friends "were victims of a brutal attack last night at W.i.P. They sustained several injuries."
Since the Chris Brown-Drake fight, the rep adds, "Chris and his party are cooperating fully with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further."
Chris Brown, who was injured in the bar brawl, spoke with NYPD detectives and his lawyer allegedly provided "physical evidence" showing Drake was involved.
Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, went to the NYPD late today to present
evidence showing that Drake and his friend Meek Mill were the
aggressors.
Chris spoke with detectives at an undisclosed location in New York.
Brown is currently not a suspect in the melee but rather "a witness and a
victim."
Drake is also not currently a suspect, according to police.
For his part, Drake has been "cooperating fully" with authorities as
well ... it's unclear if he's spoken to police personally, but his
representatives have.
According to TMZ, while there was trash talk on both sides, the main
instigator may be someone in Chris' posse, who was inciting Drake and
his people all night.
Drake's rep stressed earlier Thursday that the "Best I Ever Had"
rapper "did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at
W.i.P."
